Singularity University (SU) - „the Silicon Valley version of an MBA“ - has announced that it will hold its second international summit in Central and Eastern Europe. World renowned experts from the global high-tech industry and science will come to Prague for two days to present new trends and developments in the fields of mobility, artificial intelligence, computing, robotics, medicine, neuroscience, blockchain, and security. The main goal is to inspire and empower Czech and Central European leaders and influencers to understand the exponential technologies that are changing the world and human society as we know it. The SingularityU Czech Summit, which was held for the first time in March 2018 in Prague (Palác Žofín), will explore the newest frontiers of ethics in business, and security, the future of work and education, and new models of growth and organisations. In the last edition, more then 700 attendees reached the venue and 25 high-profile speakers from Silicon Valley, Czech Republic and other European countries brought the newest from science and technology.
As specified by the Managing Director of SU Czech Summit Eva Hanáková, there are four local businessmen who stand behind the idea to bring Singularity University into Czech Republic and are the main pilars of this event. Tomáš Krsek is the chairman of the board of Škoda Transportation, a leading European manufacturer of vehicles for city and railway transport, and founder of a private investment company Bohemia Industry, Jan Sýkora chairs the board of WOOD & Company, a leading investment bank in Emerging Europe, Radek Pokorný who is the founding partner of the Prague-based law firm Pokorný, Wagner & Partners and Martin Kúšik, the founder of the investment family office Odyssey 44. Together they founded Prometheus XXI that is the official organizer of the summit.
They have one thought in common, which is wanting to help and add something positive towards the future of Czech Republic and put together people, who care about the future, examine how technologies will shape our future, and explore ethical leadership in a world of rapid change.
This time, about 800 attendees from Europe and worldwide are expected, among them business owners, CEOs, managing partners, top level politicians and scientists, as well as talented students. Corporate Czech Republic realizes the importance of change and the influence of innovation and technology across all sectors. In response, this unique summit in Prague is going to present a display of advanced technologies, extensive debate, and collaborative discussions, offering an exchange of ideas and existing best practices in the fields of healthcare, cyberspace, AI, robotics, big data and finance. In addition to expert presentations, participants will also explore questions ranging from trending technological changes across the globe, to their impact on industry growth and region-specific challenges.
